# Connect ChatGPT to the Fanvue MCP server

> Create a Fanvue connector in ChatGPT developer mode and authorise it with your creator or agency account.

ChatGPT can read and answer chats, publish posts and read earnings on your Fanvue account in any chat where you enable the connector. You need a Fanvue creator or agency account and a paid ChatGPT plan.

## Connect ChatGPT

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enable developer mode">
    Open **Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings** and turn on **Developer mode**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the connector">
    Go to **Settings → Connectors → Create**. Name it **Fanvue** and enter the server URL:

    ```text theme={null}
    https://mcp.fanvue.com/mcp
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorise">
    Save. Your browser opens to Fanvue to sign in and allow access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the connection">
    In a chat, enable Fanvue from the **+** (apps) menu and ask "How many unread chats do I have?". A reply with your unread count means the connection works.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Ask in plain language

Describe what you want and the client picks the tools:

```text wrap theme={null}
How many unread chats do I have, and who are my top spenders this month?
Draft a thank-you message to my top 10 spenders and show it to me before sending
Schedule a post for Friday at 20:00 London time announcing a live stream
Compare my net earnings this month with last month, by source
```

As an agency, name the creator in each request. [Example requests](/docs/mcp-server/examples) has more, grouped by job.

## Review before anything reaches fans

Tools act on your live account. A message reaches the fan, a mass message reaches the whole list, and a post goes live as soon as the tool runs. Ask for a draft first and approve it before the client sends or publishes.

<Warning>
  With `fanvue_mcp:write`, the client can do anything your account can do, including messaging fans, publishing and changing prices. Revoke access at any time in Fanvue under Settings > Account > **Third Party Apps Consent**.
</Warning>

## Disconnect ChatGPT

Delete the **Fanvue** connector under **Settings → Connectors**, then revoke access as described in [Disconnect and revoke](/docs/mcp-server#disconnect-and-revoke).
