# Connect Grok Bot to the Fanvue MCP server

> Add the Fanvue MCP server to Grok Bot from a chat so every bot on your account can run your Fanvue account.

Grok Bot can read and answer chats, publish posts and read earnings on your Fanvue account, and every bot on your Grok account shares the connection. You need a Fanvue creator or agency account.

## Connect Grok Bot

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask Grok Bot to add the server">
    In any Grok Bot chat, send:

    ```text theme={null}
    Add a custom MCP server called fanvue at https://mcp.fanvue.com/mcp
    ```

    Keep the words "custom MCP server" so Grok Bot adds this URL instead of searching its plugin catalogue. Click **Add it** to confirm.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorise">
    Click **Authorize** on the connect card. Your browser opens to Fanvue to sign in and allow access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the connection">
    Ask "How many unread chats do I have?". A reply with your unread count means the connection works.
  </Step>
</Steps>

On a team plan, a team admin enables the server before members can use it.

## Ask in plain language

Describe what you want and the client picks the tools:

```text wrap theme={null}
How many unread chats do I have, and who are my top spenders this month?
Draft a thank-you message to my top 10 spenders and show it to me before sending
Schedule a post for Friday at 20:00 London time announcing a live stream
Compare my net earnings this month with last month, by source
```

As an agency, name the creator in each request. [Example requests](/docs/mcp-server/examples) has more, grouped by job.

## Review before anything reaches fans

Tools act on your live account. A message reaches the fan, a mass message reaches the whole list, and a post goes live as soon as the tool runs. Ask for a draft first and approve it before the client sends or publishes.

<Warning>
  With `fanvue_mcp:write`, the client can do anything your account can do, including messaging fans, publishing and changing prices. Revoke access at any time in Fanvue under Settings > Account > **Third Party Apps Consent**.
</Warning>

## Disconnect Grok Bot

Remove `fanvue` under **Settings → Plugins → Yours**, then revoke access as described in [Disconnect and revoke](/docs/mcp-server#disconnect-and-revoke).
