Codex can read and answer chats, publish posts and read earnings on your Fanvue account. You need a Fanvue creator or agency account, Codex installed, and Node.js for npx.

Connect Codex

1

Add the server

Codex reaches the server through mcp-remote. Add it to ~/.codex/config.toml:
~/.codex/config.toml
2

Authorise

On first use, mcp-remote opens your browser to Fanvue to sign in and allow access.
3

Confirm the connection

Ask “How many unread Fanvue chats do I have?”. A reply with your unread count means the connection works.

Ask in plain language

Describe what you want and the client picks the tools:
As an agency, name the creator in each request. Example requests has more, grouped by job.

Review before anything reaches fans

Tools act on your live account. A message reaches the fan, a mass message reaches the whole list, and a post goes live as soon as the tool runs. Ask for a draft first and approve it before the client sends or publishes.
With fanvue_mcp:write, the client can do anything your account can do, including messaging fans, publishing and changing prices. Revoke access at any time in Fanvue under Settings > Account > Third Party Apps Consent.

Disconnect Codex

Delete the [mcp_servers.fanvue] block from ~/.codex/config.toml, then revoke access as described in Disconnect and revoke.
