Fanvue has three payment rails. Creators sell to fans with checkout links, your app bills creators through the App Store, and fans pay creators inside an experience your app runs. Pick the rail by who is paying whom, then follow its guide. Every rail’s API and webhook access runs through an app in the Developer Area. Even a creator-side integration that only reads checkout results needs to create an app for its OAuth credentials.

Choose a rail

Create checkout links

Sell a product to anyone with a Fanvue-hosted checkout page.

Bill creators through the App Store

Charge creators for your app with plans and one-time items.

Payments inside fan experiences

Let fans pay the creator for actions inside your experience.
Checkout links accept several payment methods, BNPL instalments among them. Create checkout links lists the methods, and Instalments covers how a BNPL sale arrives. Every checkout_link.*, payout.* and app.* event arrives in the Standard-Webhooks envelope with a snake_case resource in data; the event catalogue lists them all. Each of those topics, app.experience.action.* included, has a test payload, so you can send a test delivery and exercise a handler without a real charge.

Units and currency

Amounts are integers in USD minor units (cents): 1999 means $19.99. Settlement is in USD on every rail. The currency field on a checkout payment is informational. It names the local currency the fan paid in, while gross, net and the fees amounts are already converted to USD minor units. App webhooks always carry "currency": "USD".

Fees

Checkout fees are read from the payment, never from a published rate. The checkout payment resource carries gross, net and fees { fanvueFee, transactionFee }, all in USD minor units. The checkout_link.payment.* webhook carries the same values in snake case as fees { fanvue_fee, transaction_fee }, plus total (what the fan was charged) and tax. Reconcile the creator’s earnings from net. On an inclusive-tax link gross is the pre-tax base, so compare fan charges against total and tax on the webhook rather than gross. Reconcile checkout payments walks through it.
