App Store billing lets a listed app charge creators through Fanvue. You define pricing plans and one-time items in the Developer Area, Fanvue hosts checkout, and you receive 80% of each charge; Fanvue keeps 20% as the platform fee. Amounts are integers in USD minor units (cents). Every purchase is made by and billed to the creator account that is signed in, including when an agency team member is switched into a managed creator’s profile. An agency account acting as itself can only own apps that review has marked agency-installable. There’s no guest purchase to reconcile. If you want fans to pay, use checkout links or payments inside a fan experience instead.

Two ways to charge

You configure both on your app’s Pricing tab in the Developer Area. Pricing plans and One-time items cover the details.

The flow, end to end

1

Configure pricing

Add plans and items on the Pricing tab. Paid apps must be listed on the App Store.
2

Get approved

Plans show Pending setup and activate when your app passes review.
3

Share

Send creators to your listing’s plan picker, a deeplink, or the plan’s checkoutUrl from GET /apps/{appUuid}/subscription-status.
4

Receive webhooks

Grant access off app.subscription.activated; reconcile revenue off app.payment.succeeded. See App events.
5

Gate access

Check GET /apps/{appUuid}/subscription/me server-side: hasActiveSubscription, with currentPeriodEnd and cancelAtPeriodEnd for when access ends.
6

Reconcile

Re-read state from GET /apps/{appUuid}/payments and the subscription endpoints when a delivery is missed.

Money and access are separate events

A subscription’s initial charge emits both app.payment.succeeded with billing_reason: subscription_initial and app.subscription.activated. Grant access off the subscription event, and reconcile revenue off the payment event.
